David Soong is the founder of Axioo and SweetEscape. His passion for photography started as a hobby during his college years in the late 90s, which then changed his life. In 2002 he started Axioo, a wedding & lifestyle photography company based in Jakarta. Self-taught, always curious to explore new ideas and challenging the norms, he consistently captures beautiful weddings around the world. He is often credited for popularizing destination pre-wedding portraits that take couples to breathtaking landscapes.

Over the years, David has carved a niche for high profile weddings around the region.

The Axioo team consists of talented photographers trained under his wings to create memorable images with heart.

He recently started SweetEscape, a startup that connects thousands of local photographers in more than 500 cities across the world to capture life’s precious moments. Curating qualified photographers to join the cause in capturing joy was the initial challenge when launching the company. Now, it serves more than 10,000 happy clients who book the service through its app.

Photography has changed his life and he believes that his experiences can help fellow photographers to improve and build their craft too. David regularly teaches photography workshops and mentors aspiring photographers.

Out of passion, he continuously captures romance as he travels around the world.
